There is still Room

Is there still a space to be filled? An increase only takes place in the atmosphere of lack and emptiness. A push only comes when there is a perceived weakness and call for help.

This month thus far, we have dwelt richly on the Supernatural Increase God expects us to operate on per time. The supernatural transcends the spectacular and natural. It is beyond human comprehension and calculation. It is the lifestyle of true believers.

This experience can only come alive when we own up to being weak, empty and helpless. The moment we are assured of a space for the Lord to fill within us. Our walk with the Father can only come alive when we learn to unlearn, learn and relearn daily.

There is sure still room for you to take in the father’s dealings. Apostle Paul realized this principle and applied this to the utmost. Hear him: “I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forth unto those things which are before.”  Phil 3:13

In the realization of our weakness, we find strength. In the thirst and hunger for more of God we get HIM wholly and instantaneously. How will I ever experience increase when I am always of the opinion that I have arrived? We daily cry for increase yet we fall into the category of those who feel they have attained. Those who feel that they have heard, read and chewed enough of God’s word.

In John 21: 11, the magnitude of God is exhibited. The catch made by Peter, Nathanael, Thomas and sons of Zebedee as assisted by Jesus was a great one. After their toil all night, at the appearing of Jesus confessed their failure. They confessed their weakness. They gave up on their wisdom, skills, strategies and strength.

The bible recorded that the fishes caught were great and yet the net was not broken. I’m thinking that the net still had capacity to carry more fishes than it did to the shore. There was still room. No matter how filled we are, there is still more room to be filled.

No matter how well you have preached in the past and lives were saved, there is still more room for you to grow and increase.

Don Moen’s song does it. He put it thus:

There is a longing

Only you can fill

A raging tempest

Only you can still

My soul is thirsty Lord

To know you as I’m known

Drink from the river

That flows before your throne

It is my sincere prayer that we all attain and reach out to those things which are before.

FINAL YEAR BRETHREN THANKSGIVING SERVICE

It’s happening today! FYB Thanksgiving Service…

As a member of this category of students, I completely grasp what it takes to reach this far in such a citadel of learning.

After four, five or six years, one gets to graduate to higher heights.

Even as these set of people thank God for sparing their lives, seeing them through and being their help thus far, I pray they will not miss out of God’s purpose and plan for their lives.

The sounds of Rejoicing shall not cease.

The Achievers it’s your day, do shakara…

Discipline: A Pathway to Experiencing Increase

Discipline.  Restraint. Self-control. Necessary is this to ensuring guaranteed increase.

For everyone desirous of a change in the status quo, there are certain things expected to be one. An obese person passionately wanting a fitter body size will always go through strict routines. If these routines are followed, the obese person within a defined period takes a different and fitter shape.

So, it is with us. If Christianity involves entering into what Jesus is, then there are weights we must not take in with us. There are attributes which must stick with us. There are characters/ traits which must not take dominion over us.

As someone said, discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments. So is discipline the bridge between desire and the actual supernatural increase. Just as his parents departed Jerusalem after the yearly feast of the Passover, Jesus stayed behind. It takes discipline to forgo pleasure and pursue the utmost. This Jesus did. Hear his response: “How is it that ye sought me? Wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business.” (Luke 2:49).

It is discipline which made Jesus rise in the morning (Mark 1:35), defy sleep (Luke 6:12), take strategic positions (Luke 9:28-29) to pray.

Apostle Paul typified discipline in his walk as well. Hear him: “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forth unto those things which are before.” Philippians 3:13.

It takes discipline to put away attainments of the past, successes of the past, glories of the past. It takes one with determination to put away the hours of vigils kept praying on the mount in the past, completion of the bible three times before the end of the year and every other attainment of the past.

It takes discipline to wake up when others are fast sleeping to pray, study the scriptures and engage in spiritual exercises for increase. When roommates are engaged in the worldly affairs and still making it,  discipline says stay on the right path.

Discipline says spend time with the Father early in the morning while your phone notifies for a new WhatsApp message. Discipline says you leave the comfort of your bed to ray to avoid sleep while the mind says sleep a while. Self-control ensures your body-God’s temple is kept pure not minding the ‘pleasure’ obtainable.

I pray God help our hearts!

The Tiberias Experiences!

Tiberias was a rendezvous for some of Jesus’ activities while on Earth. Anytime any remarkable happening took place at that venue, the testimony was always going to be out of this world.

I am beginning to think the Supernatural had a field day manifesting at Tiberias.

Also spelt Tveria, is an Israeli city and considered as one of the four Holy cities. (Maybe, I might just be visiting there soon!). History notes that Tiberias was beautifully designed and enlarged by Herod in honour of Tiberius, the emperor.

The experiences at Tiberias are amazing.

John 6 highlights how well Jesus attracted the crowd wherever he went. These crowds were eager to hear him speak, heal and set free bondmen and women. They were always joyful in his presence. His words were always going to lift their spirits.

How well do we attract people with the LIGHT in us? Are people eager to have our company due to the fact we will always speak seasoned words? Or are people repealed by our presence?

The multitude was always attracted to the MAN called JESUS.

Can we be attractive for the world to turn away from evil?  The world will continue to degenerate because of lack of PREACHERS. Romans 10:14 notes how the absence of preachers can cause people not believe in HIS name.  We must be those who will preach the gospel. Meet for the Masters’ Use in depopulating the Kingdom of devil.

The Tiberias experiences revealed the compassionate nature of Jesus. John 6:5 and 21:5 noted how Jesus cared for the people. At Tiberais, the toiling stopped, the wait ended and hunger disappeared. Those at Tiberais were now to experience God in a greater dimension. This is the God we serve.

Most importantly is the supernatural increase recorded at Tiberais. It is my sincere prayer that you will experience such as pertaining to your situation. When the supernatural takes place, it gives no room for doubt. It satisfies to the utmost!

I am also thinking that the SUPERNATURAL takes place in order for God to show supremacy. Every time such happened in the scripture, there were always reaffirming words from those who witnessed such ( John 6:14,  21:7, Luke 5:8, 8:25).

The increase recorded by people at the Sea of Galilee (Tiberais) was unimaginable and unthinkable. The supernatural transcends the periphery. There is always a significant difference. In this month of September and beyond, may we all experience remarkable, undeniable and unusual differences in our lives giving glory to God.

I key into the SUPERNATURAL INCREASE DIMENSION

I serve a God of Tiberais.

Meet for the Master’s Use

What an apt theme for this year’s Sisters’  Week.

Meet for the Master’s Use as taken from 2 Tim 2:21 is for us all as believers. This was an epistle written some years back by Brother Paul to his Spiritual son, Timothy and an extension to us.

According to The Message translation:

In a well-furnished kitchen there are not only crystal goblets and silver platters, but waste cans and compost buckets — some containers used to serve fine meals, others to take out the garbage.

Become the kind of container God can use to present any and every kind of gift to his guests for their blessing. (2 Tim 2:20-21)

One key message is being the kind of container usable by God. Can we be such? Can our lives be such that is pleasing and worthy to be used?

May we all be Meet for the Master’s Use.
