STILL STANDING

What will remain in your walk with the father after this last service of Grace for 2013/2014 session?

Has it not been a splendid experience in God’s presence this session? For me, it has been awesome, fulfilling and enlightening. He has brought me to learn of Him and love Him and others around me.

I can be rest assured your experience has not been a futile one but indeed glorious. Indeed, the season, everyone loves is here again-The Christmas/New Year Break. Before you embark on such chicken-feted and rice plated break, spare me few minutes to share a message with you.

Many only receive the jive to pray, study the word, intercede, fast and hear from Him only during school session. This might surprisingly be the only time it happens in a year.

Sad,  but true. But, the message for the house is cited I Corinthians 16:13:

Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

Stand fast in that faith without wavering because the good Lord is still at work in you. You cannot afford to miss all God’s blessings embedded in this session and delivered to you to fritter. With all that you have got, defend jealously your faith. Let no man steal it.

Just as we will be physically tearing down the laps of frozen foods lets also spare time to pull up our spiritual jackets. There will be no one to call you for prayers on Monday by 7pm, Word Encounter on Wednesday by 6:30pm nor Service of Grace on Sunday by 12 noon but it is expected that we still burn with that fire. Lev. 6:12-13.

For our Final Year Brethren, there are still more ‘lands to conquer’.  You cannot allow your dedication, zeal, desire, thirst, groaning for more of the Lord to die down. There will be points where your budding faith will be tested. The tempest will appear but the one who stills every storm of Life can only be the solution.

Will I still remain standing? This question might overwhelm your being these last days of your stay on Campus as an undergraduate. Do not lose sleep over this question. Why? The Lord will definitely keep every of His own standing when ‘their hearts are stayed on Him’ Isa 26:13

Rather, just like a mentor, apostle and the fiery  Brother Paul said in 1 Corinthians 9:27:

‘But I keep under my body and bring it unto subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway’

Another translation goes thus:

‘I harden my body with blows and bring it under complete control, to       keep myself from being disqualified after having called other to the contest.’

It is my prayer for every Final Year member of this house that you will finish strong in Jesus name. 2

Tim 4:7; 2:4.

For all FOJs, it is my desire that we all remain steadfast, unmovable and always abounding in the work of the Lord.

At seasons where the tempest arises, the Lord God will be strong on our behalf as of the days of old. Matt. 8:27, Mark 4:36-41 and Luke 8:22-25.

It pays to serve Jesus!

Don’t Stop Serving Him!!

Remain Rapturable!!!

The presence of the Living God
Satisfies the depths of my heart
And all of me I change when you came
And I’m led free by Your glory and grace

And I breathe You in, God
Cos You are there all around me
And when I don’t understand
I will choose You
(repeat)
And when I don’t understand
I will choose to love You, God

Enter With Boldness

I trust it’s been a splendid week. The examinations are here again.

Pause! Spare few minutes here with me as we charge ourselves.

Every step taken with any iota of doubt will surely end in a flop. The most successful ones are those whose beliefs are radical, resolute, and rewarding.

In this season of examination the Lord requires we rest in his bosom. We need not panic for what to write nor how to write it.

“But when he perceived the strong wind, he was frightened, as he began to sink, he cried out, Lord Save me. Mat. 14:30.

At that dying point, he still recognized the wonder working power of our maker to deliver. All he needed to do was beckon on Him for help. Who do we beckon unto for help?

At times when we are pressed on all sides, where do run to for help? Do we enter his presence with all boldness or we run to man?

Man will definitely fail but the God whom I serve has never failed nor will He ever fail. He only wants us to come to him with believe and boldness in Him.

In examination situations, who do we speak with for help? Our seat partner or our Comforter who can teach us all things John 14:26. We need not fritter in turbulence because our God we serve can deliver.

Robert Greene’s 48 Laws of Power under mantra 28 titled- ENTER ACTION WITH BOLDNESS states thus:

“If you are unsure of a course of action, do not attempt it. Your doubts and hesitations will infect your execution. Timidity is dangerous: better to enter with boldness. Everyone admires the bold; no one honours the timid.”

Reading the above indeed shows how well the world respects the bold, confident and fearless ones. How much more our God?

“Let us fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in good time for every need (appropriate help, well-timed help, coming just when we need it.)” Heb. 4:16.

My faith looks up to thee,

                                Thou Lamb of Calvary,

Saviour divine!

Now hear me while I pray,

Take all my guilt away,

O let me from this day

Be wholly Thine!

As we advance in our walk with our father, he requires our undiluted believe in Him with all boldness, assurance and confidence.

Have a tremendous week ahead!

Don’t Stop Believing

I need no other argument

I need no other plea

It is enough that Jesus died

And that He died for me

It’s a new dawn! A walk with the Father can never be boring. It is a walk filled with  Learning  of Him, Redeeming the time and understanding the will of the maker Eph 5:1-17.

We can’t afford to apply the brakes at this stage of our journey. He has just started with us. He only wants us to put our implicit trust in God.

None of us can work for Him nor change the tides of time. The situation might seem bleak, unchangeable, static, uninspiring, never- ending but in all we must not doubt the potency of His power to deliver.

A resolute believe in Him Mark 5:36

It seems impossible to read and pass that ‘almighty’ JIL 409 or ECNT 111 to you. The volumes of materials to cover are sickening and your heart is beginning to faint. He only wants you to believe in Him who can teach you all things John 14:26

Or is it that long term sickness which has defied all permutations and medical calculations? This has caused you to doubt your faith. This can’t except you believe.

In this season, God is ready to dwell mightily among us to heal, deliver, set free, set captives free, dish academic excellence and spiritual stability and perform undeniable miracles, only when we believe. 1 John 5:1

Don’t stop Believing.
